On Monday 17 October, the Swedish Publishers Association marked seven years since Swedish publisher, and 2018 IPA Prix Voltaire laureate, Gui Minhai disappeared from his holiday home in Thailand with a social media campaign for publishers in peril #fansladerförläggare.
Gui Minhai, who is a publisher and ran the Mighty Current Bookshop in Hong Kong, has not been heard from since he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in February 2020. The campaign featured an image specially produced by Ellen Ekman.
